VP Bank Foundation sets an example: CHF 70,000 for a good cause

Reading time: 3 Min
On Tuesday, 4 November 2025, the VP Bank Foundation hosted the "Lichtblick" fundraising event at the VP Bank premises in Triesen. Twenty-eight organisations involved in social and charitable work in Liechtenstein were delighted to receive support totalling CHF 70,000.

Since its establishment in 2007, the VP Bank Foundation has been committed to supporting social and charitable organisations with financial contributions. At this year's ‘Lichtblick’ fundraising event, 28 institutions received donations totalling around 70,000 Swiss francs in a festive setting. The event was accompanied by musicians from the Vaduz Youth Harmony Orchestra.

In his welcoming speech, Alois Beck, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the VP Bank Foundation, focused on the work of the foundation. As he emphasised, the promotion of social and charitable organisations is a high priority both in the foundation's statutes and in its funding practice. "The foundation, which was established on the occasion of VP Bank's 50th anniversary, is dedicated to promoting science, education, culture and the environment, and pays particular attention to supporting institutions that work on behalf of disadvantaged people and contribute to social equality in society. The annual donation ceremony is not only intended to express appreciation for the institutions and their leaders, but also to offer participants an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas."

With its "Lichtblick" fundraising event, the VP Bank Foundation demonstrates its solidarity with charitable organisations and supports them in fulfilling their important work. In addition, one institution is given the opportunity to present its work to guests. This year, the Association for People with Dementia in Liechtenstein, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, gave a presentation.
