VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open 2023: A highlight of the golf season
The LET, the highest level of professional women's golf in Europe, comes to central Switzerland for the fourth VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open. In a stroke play over 54 holes (3 rounds), 108 of the world's best female golfers will compete for a total of €300.000 prize money on the Zugersee course. The winner will receive €45.000. The rest of the prize money will be divided among the proettes who make the cut after two rounds (top 65 and equal strokes). The tournament will be televised live by the Swiss broadcaster SRF on all three days.
Promoting young golfers
The two young Swiss women Sarah Uebelhart (amateur) and Victoria Monod (professional golfer) received a wildcard for the women's tournament. For VP Bank as title sponsor, the promotion of young talents - including the support of young golfers - is important. With this sponsorship, it is continuing its commitment to women's golf, which started in 2017. "Golf is a key focus of our sponsorship strategy. Sustainability certification
In addition to promoting talent, the fourth edition of the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open will also focus on sustainability. Last year, Holzhäusern became the 25th golf course in Switzerland to be certified by the Golf Environment Organization (GEO). The GEO is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote the ecological sustainability of golf courses worldwide. The organisation recognises golf courses that set high environmental standards in the areas of nature conservation, water, energy supply, supply chains and air pollution control.
