Reading time: 2 Min
On Wednesday, 22 March 2023, State Council Manuel Frick presented the "Most Beautiful Books from Liechtenstein 2022". As part of the competition organised by the Liechtenstein Office of Culture, the book "Artwork. 25 Years of the VP Bank Art Foundation" was awarded a commendatory recognition.

The publication of the VP Bank Art Foundation offers insights into the collection of the VP Bank Art Foundation over the past 25 years. The jury was impressed by the well-thought-out concept, which does justice to the excellently reproduced images from the art collection. The font chosen, the flatsetting, the printing and the binding were also excellent. Annett Höland, curator of the VP Bank Art Foundation, Hans Brunhart, President of the VP Bank Art Foundation until 2021, and Thomas R. Meier, Chairman of the Board of Directors and acting President of the VP Bank Art Foundation, attended the event to accept the award for the book, which was published in 2022. Timmy Eggenberger and René Wolfinger (Hocus & Pocus AG, Balzers) are the designers of the book. BVD Druck + Verlag AG, Schaan (represented by Philipp Vogt) was responsible for the printing and Bubu AG, Mönchaltdorf ZH for the binding (represented by Urban Küng).

About the competition
The event has been held annually since 2001. Book designers and institutions involved in book production can participate. The jury judges the design of the books, not the content. The winning books are selected in the following two categories: "Excellent" and "Commendation". This year, the jury awarded three books. One book received an award, two other titles received a commendatory recognition.
