On Tuesday, 3 November 2026, the VP Bank Foundation hosted its annual "Lichtblick" charity event at the premises of VP Bank in Triesen. A total of 31 social and charitable organisations in Liechtenstein received support amounting to CHF 160,000. To mark VP Bank’s 70th anniversary, the donation amount provided by the VP Bank Foundation was doubled from CHF 80,000 to CHF 160,000.

Since its establishment in 2007, the VP Bank Foundation has been committed to supporting social and charitable organisations through financial contributions. At this year’s "Lichtblick" event, 31 institutions were presented with donations totalling CHF 160,000 in a festive setting. The event was accompanied by musical performances from members of the youth ensemble of Harmoniemusik Vaduz.

Supporting social and charitable organisations

In his welcoming address, Alois Beck, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the VP Bank Foundation, highlighted the Foundation’s work and mission. He emphasised that supporting social and charitable organisations plays a central role both in the Foundation’s statutes and in its funding activities. “Founded to mark the 50th anniversary of VP Bank, the Foundation places special emphasis on supporting institutions that assist disadvantaged individuals and contribute to social cohesion, alongside its commitment to promoting science, education, culture and environmental initiatives. Our annual donation ceremony is intended not only to express appreciation for these organisations and the people behind them, but also to provide an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and experiences."

A platform for dialogue and connection

With the "Lichtblick" charity event, the VP Bank Foundation demonstrates its appreciation for the commitment of non-profit organisations and helps them carry out their important work. Each year, one organisation is also given the opportunity to present its activities to the guests. This year, infra, the Information and Counselling Centre for Women, introduced its work and shared insights into its 40th anniversary year.

Among the guests were Stephan Zimmermann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VP Bank, Urs Monstein, Chief Executive Officer of VP Bank Group, and Adrian Schneider, Head of Region Liechtenstein & BVI at VP Bank. They took the opportunity to engage in discussions with representatives of the supported organisations.
