Why did you choose VP Bank Switzerland?

When I was a consultant at KPMG, I had the opportunity to support VP Bank during a highly exciting period of transformation. Above all, I was impressed by how friendly and respectful the company’s employees were towards one another, even during those challenging times. As a result, the decision to move to VP Bank was quick and easy to make. Since then, I’ve felt this spirit of untiring mutual support on a daily basis. VP Bank doesn’t just describe itself as a modern, agile employer: it also endeavours to put this into practice every day by offering various working models and the opportunity to flexibly work from home. In turn, this motivates employees and encourages them to perform at their best.

What do you enjoy the most about your work?

To an extent, the Chief Risk Officer isn’t the most popular person at the company. I’m motivated by the challenge of striking a balance between highlighting risks and finding solutions, every single day. The culture at VP Bank generates a very open dialogue between the front-facing teams and compliance, which leads to active discussions and the promotion of mutual understanding. These discussions teach me to be open to new things and never stop learning, day in, day out. Plus, new products and markets give me insights into new worlds to explore, time and again – which ensures my work remains very exciting indeed.

What goals would you like to achieve?

I’d like to be a strong partner for our Bank, alongside my young, motivated team. We’re completely focused on successfully putting our Strategy 2026 into practice, which involves giving my team plenty of flexibility. In this, I try to be a good role model so they can work towards our corporate goals with plenty of passion and entrepreneurial agility.

Why did you choose VP Bank?

Back in 2018, my team and I were looking for a solid, professional financial services provider for our long-standing clients. We chose VP Bank firstly because its portfolio of services aligned with our expectations and, secondly, because its positive outward-facing identity appealed to us. Even today, we have no doubt that VP Bank is the right financial services partner for our clients.

What do you enjoy the most about your work?

I have a huge amount of freedom at VP Bank, which I like – it’s akin to being an external asset manager. This attracted me, as someone who’s motivated and results-driven, someone who thinks in a networked, entrepreneurial way and who likes to be active. My work gives me the chance to shape what VP Bank will look like in the future. Thanks to my team of experienced employees, I (usually) have enough time for the all-important tasks of keeping in touch with clients, developing client relationships and networking.

What goals would you like to achieve?

I want support VP Bank with implementing its Strategy 2026. This primarily means ensuring that my clients are satisfied with my performance and VP Bank’s services. By extension, my goal is to surpass our clients’ expectations every day. And last but not least, it’s crucially important to me that I’m a good, reliable manager for the employees that report to me.
