On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of VP Bank, the VP Bank Foundation was founded in 2007 as a charitable institution. |

The purpose of the VP Bank Foundation is to support projects, individuals and institutions that stand out in the areas of art, education, science and culture and wish to gain a higher profile. Donations can also be made for charitable and social purposes as well as beneficent activities in a broader sense.
The results and achievements of the fostered projects, individuals and institutions must relate in a recognizable way to all or a portion of the populace of the Principality of Liechtenstein and/or the corporate values of the VP Bank Group. |

On the occasion of a national donation day conducted by the Liechtenstein Red Cross, the VP Bank Foundation participated by contributing CHF 25,000 toward aid to the earthquake victims in Haiti. |
|
This past year, the board of trustees also supported efforts to network Liechtenstein-based charitable foundations even further on an international scale. At the same time, the Foundation was also committed to intensifying the exchange of experiences between Liechtenstein-based charitable foundations as well as the reinforced representation of their interests.
In both areas, notable progress and successes were achieved: Swiss Foundations, an internationally respected association of Swisscharitable foundations, amended its statutes to also enable membership for Liechtenstein charitable foundations.
The VP Bank Foundation joins this organization since 2011.
In December of 2010, the Association of Liechtenstein CharitableFoundations was established with the goal of promoting the reputation and position of these local non-profit organizations.The chairman of VP Bank Foundation’s board of trustees was elected to become the first chairman of this new foundation, in which the VP Bank Foundation is a charter member. |
